What is ABTOT?

ABTOT is an approved body appointed by the UK  Government Department for Business and Trade to operate a regulated insolvency protection scheme. ABTOT Members benefit from the trust and confidence that this financial protection offers to their customers.

ABTOT has over 300 Members in Membership and is recognised by Travel organisers and consumers. ABTOT has the same legal status as ABTA and is a trusted alternative.

How to become ABTOT protected 

Becoming an ABTOT Member involves meeting ABTOT’s financial criteria:

  1. Financial Assessment: ABTOT will review your company’s finances and business operation.  This includes reviewing accounts, financial forecasts and supporting information about how the company trades. 
  2. Securing Bonding Membership: Once ABTOT has confirmed they can accept your application, the business can be granted Membership and an ABTOT bond will be issued at the same time.
